All our workshops are linked to the primary school curriculum. Our aim is to help children appreciate and value their natural surroundings. Workshops are enquiry-based with a focus on teamwork and problem-solving.

Laois||This workshop includes a guided tour of Emo Court by OPW staff, followed by an age-appropriate nature & science walk in the grounds of Emo Court. Students are encouraged to identify trees, wildflowers and explore the amazing animal life in Emo’s parkland. |Ecology Fieldtrip||Emo Court, Co. Laois||The ecology fieldtrip workshops are linked to the Junior & Leaving curriculum. Students use equipment such quadrats, pooters, pitfall traps, identification keys and sweep nets to undertake a quantitative study of woodland and grassland habitats in Emo Court.
